Description

Renhill Group is currently looking for flexible, compassionate individuals who are committed to student learning and success to work on a substitute (part-time, on-call) basis as an Educational Aide through the Lake County Educational Service Center in Painesville, Ohio for the 2020-2021 school year.

 

The Lake County ESC operates 8 programs:

  • Integrated Preschool Program
    • Preschool aged children with special needs as well as typically developing peers
    • Locations throughout Lake County including Fairport, Kirtland, Perry, Riverside, and Wickliffe
  • The Lake Academy
    • An alternative education program serving "at risk" students in grades 7-12
    • Located in Eastlake
  • LEAD (Learn, Experience, Achieve, Develop)
    • Provides therapeutic, prevocational, and educational opportunities in a non-traditional setting
    • Grades K-7 housed at Lake County Collaborative
    • Grades 9-12 housed at Lake Erie College
  • Sail
    • Designed for students on the Autism Spectrum who thrive best in a self-contained environment that emphasizes the acquisition of social and interpersonal language skills.
    • Locations throughout Summit County including Fairport, Kirtland, Perry, Riverside, and Wickliffe
  • Crossroads PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)
    • Designed to meet the treatment and academic needs of Lake County children and teens experiencing significant emotional and/or behavioral issues
    • Located in Mentor
  • Broadmoor
    • School ran by the Department of Developmental Disabilities
    • PK-12
    • Located in Mentor
  • TTW (Transition to Work)
    • Program for individuals with Multiple Disabilities who are older than 22 years and continue to require support in vocational and social settings
  • Juvenile Detention Center
    • Will report to Lorain County Juvenile Court House in Elyria

 
A One-on-One Student Attendant provides instructional, physical, and social emotional assistance in a caring and nurturing environment to meet the unique needs of a student with an Individual Education Plan.


No formal experience? No problem. Renhill Group's online training courses designed by current and former school district administrators will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to ensure your success in the classroom.

 

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BCI & FBI background checks
    • Completed within the past 12 months and on file with the Ohio Department of Education
    • Renhill Group offers background checks at one of the area’s lowest rates ($55), if you do not already have them
  • Aide permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education
    • Renhill Group will assist you in obtaining your permit if needed. Permit costs $25 and payment is made directly to the Ohio Department of Education
