Renhill Group is currently looking for flexible, compassionate individuals who are committed to student learning and success to work on a substitute (part-time, on-call) basis as a classroom assistant at Suffield Elementary School in the Field Local School District in Mogadore, Ohio through the Summit ESC for the 2021-2022 school year.

The Summit ESC operates the preschool program:

• Integrated Preschool Program
  
  • Preschool aged children with special needs as well as typically developing peers

Duties of a Classroom Aide Include:

• Assisting in the preparation of teacher-made instructional materials
• Setting up and cleaning up specific centers in classroom (art, music, fine motor, etc.)
• Assisting the teacher in supervising children (for example halls, restrooms, playground, during gross motor activities, snack/lunch, and boarding the bus)
• Helping the children with daily living skills (including, but not limited to: removing coat, zipping, buttoning, tying shoes, and toileting)
• Assisting with behavior interventions and reinforcement activities as directed by the teacher

No formal experience? No problem. Renhill Group's online training courses designed by current and former school district administrators will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to ensure your success in the classroom.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BCI & FBI background checks
  • Completed within the past 12 months and on file with the Ohio Department of Education
  • Renhill Group offers background checks at one of the area’s lowest rates ($55), if you do not already have them
• Aide permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education
  • Renhill Group will assist you in obtaining your permit if needed. Permit costs $25 and payment is made directly to the Ohio Department of Education
